Through my various professions, I was able to let my creativity flow in various areas. From the design and manufacture of clothing, to painting walls, shop fittings and house fittings, to teaching, i was always accompanied by design. Visual design as painting and drawing, has always been a constant in my life and at the end of 2019 I decided to devote myself entirely to painting.

My pictures represent moments that I can hardly put into words. I have a feeling in my stomach or an idea in my head, which I usually approach photographically. And then there comes that moment when everything comes together and yet cannot be truly described. It is the beauty in its complexity that leaves me speechless.

I especially like painting children because for me they are constantly expressing this moment. By overformatting the life sizes, the viewer can become even more attentive to the detail of the moment. If I manage to capture this moment on the canvas, it resonates somewhere in the subconscious of the viewer, because everyone carries this beauty within themselves. Thus, an identification takes place, which in the best case leads to remembering this innocence and beauty and developing within and around you. It‘s about pause and recognizing your self.

I deal strongly with myself and society and I believe that art is capable of raising deep questions in a quiet or provocative way. In this time of major upheavals, in my opinion, it is important to deal with yourself and get the best out of yourself. My pictures should provide an incentive or at least make someone pause for a moment in the hectic pace of everyday life.
